MINDING YOUR BUSINESS CAN BE BOTH PROFITABLE AND BENEFICIAL----Luv~Ur~City VOLUME 1
ONE OF THE PROBLEMS IN TODAY'S SOCIETY Is, individuals need to understand there is a time and place for everything. Sometimes, people love involving themselves in situations that have nothing to do with them... Some people do it out instigation tendencies, boredom, not knowing the negative effects it could have on the ones that are actually involved.
I found myself to be guilty of this. I always have wanted to help people and go out of my way for them. I am a problem solver by nature. Well, at least, I try to be anyway. The problem came in when I realized that not only have I been helping people, (which is something I love to do by the way) I was losing myself in the process.
I started my business in 2009. It began with me going to file my taxes at a new local tax branch on the south side of Chicago. I'm sitting there waiting for my name to be called for what seem like the entire day. It was a small office with 24 seats in their lobby. The receptionist with her small desk, basic office supplies such as; a cup of ink pens, a stapler, a small desk calendar, 2 yellow highlighters, and four clip boards filled with small stacks of papers for client intake. To me it reminded me of a small public aid office, but all I kept thinking was, I want to own my own office one day, but not sure what type of business would I start. I was really in a trance. I actually new the owner of this new establishment and admired that person for stepping out on faith and starting a business. In the midst of my over thinking, I was interrupted by the loud whispers from other clients sitting behind me. They were carrying on with predictions about how much money they anticipated back filing self employment. Now, I am not one to judge a book by its cover, well yes I am, but I'm working on it.. This flock did not fit any vision I had of business owners nor did they act as such.
So now, I am curious to the point I am about to MIND SOMEONE'S BUSINESS
After a short while, the receptionist called my name and lead me into the back where I can start the process of getting my taxes completed by the tax preparer/business owner. I had all I needed in addition to my pay check stubs. I began asking the tax preparer for insight on what is the first step in starting a business so I can be a business owner and file these "self employment taxes" I just got done and that is when my vision really changed about what direction I wanted to go in.....

THIS STORY IS TRULY JUST THE BEGINNING OF THE UPS AND DOWNS, THE HIGHS AND LOWS OF NOT ONLY WHAT IT TAKES TO START A BUSINESS, BUT TO KEEP IT A FLOAT, SUCCESSFUL, AND THE VISION IN HOW YOU (NOT OTHERS) SEE IT.
LESSON: Every one will not understand or believe in your dream, that's why is your dream. For you and you only...
